Harvesting at the Peak of Freshness:We harvested the Chivesat their peak of freshness. This is a crucial step, as the quality of the Chivesat the time of harvest directly impacts their taste and nutritional value once frozen.
De–husking: Outer dry skins and roots are mechanically removed.
Sorting and Cleaning:Then the Chives undergo a meticulous sorting process. Any damaged or inferior-quality produce is removed to ensure that only the finest Chives make it to the freezing stage. After sorting, they are thoroughly cleaned to eliminate dirt, bacteria, and any unwanted contaminants.
Cutting:The Chives are cut into desired size by using the cutting machine.
IQF Freezing:After blanching, the Chopped Chives are rapidly frozen using a method called Individual Quick Freezing(IQF). IQF Processing is crucial in maintaining the vegetables’ original texture and taste.
Packaging:Once frozen, they are ready for packaging. They are carefully measured and sealed in airtight packaging, protecting them from freezer burn and preserving their quality.
